You've got a point there Matthias. I didn't think of that at the time, but you're right about the different spellings.

Nice vids on your site, by the way :)

You should include different spellings. Contrary to Karate, each wing chun lineage spells their stype differently. The most common spellings are Wing Chun, Ving Tsun, Ving Chun, Wing Tsun, Wing Tzung, Wing Tjun, and Yong Chun.

I run the social networking site for wing chun - www.wingchun-network.com and I find that people come to my site from the wing chun keyword in google - kung fu is rather a large area. The other sports ranked higher in your list have just been around in the public space longer and are more sport oriented.

Same here. I was a little disappointed when I found out that Wing Chun came so low in that table. But assuaged by the fact that "kung fu" gets 5 million searches!

Im a little surprised by this myself. I have heard aswell Wing chun repeatedly calle dfthe most poplar mrtial art. I myself knew no one personally who practised it. I would have also thought that Karate was the most popular martial art. I would deem Kung Fu as the overall umbrella for Chinese martial arts and thus each individual discipline probably has a much smaller following. I also would have thought Tae Kwoon Do would be higher.

Just my two cents.
